today I am grateful for a day spent with family celebrating the wonderful moms in our lives. I am also grateful for the women in my life who care well for me, encourage me, and challenge me.

my mama {day 272} (late)
family {day 224}
tonight I’m grateful for family, in all it’s forms. I have been blessed to be born into an amazing (slightly crazy) family with parents who love each other and us. I love the sweet little family that drew and I chose, and the ways that God has made us feel more and more like a family over the last 17 months of marriage. I am also so grateful for the friends from all different places that become family…students and their families, young life kids and leaders, college friends, high school friends and their families, work friends. I am feeling blessed.
my mama {day 155}
tonight I am grateful for my mom who is wonderful, loving, generous and thoughtful. so thoughtful, in fact, that she called me from California to see of we were having trouble finding any gf products because she was at a store with a huge selection. thanks mama, you’re the best!
birthday and books {day 112}
first and most importantly, today is my mom’s 50th birthday! there are millions of reasons to be thankful for my mom, but among them are these: she gives 100% to every person in her life and then she gives some more, she hangs out with me when I feel like crap and even does amazingly kind things like clean our fridge when I just had surgery and can’t, and she loves people so much. she is amazing, and I’m so thankful to have her.
I’m thankful for this book which reminds me that some days it doesn’t always make sense and some days even the sweet feels a little bit difficult. also grateful for my sweet husband who understands when I cry after good biopsy results because I’m relieved and because sometimes the good and bad are so intermingled that it’s hard to not feel both emotions deeply and together.
and I’m thankful for this stuff, which is pretty dang good.
