today, I am thankful that I have the opportunity to be involved with an amazing group of kids through Young Life. I cannot describe to you the honor of watching a high school friend experience the love of Jesus. It is unbelievable.
I have heard people question the methods of Young Life. “How are you leading a kid to God by playing messy games or singing goofy songs?” I get the confusion, but I love that Young Life purposefully strives to help kids experience joy, full life, and love, in addition to telling them who Jesus is. It fills my heart with joy to see a kid who has a bad home situation, peer pressure, or crappy friends (which is pretty much every high school kid) enjoy life, feel free to be themselves, laugh and be SILLY, share parts of themselves they don’t feel like anyone cares about or likes.
tonight is the after camp dessert. I’ll try to share the camp video tomorrow. I CANNOT WAIT to hear how my sweet friends experienced Jesus.
check out the video below (I couldn’t figure out how to post in with this post, ha…) and also check out #cardboardtestimonies on twitter and instagram this week. very cool stuff.

That is great to hear! We were YL leaders during our early years of marriage, and I still believe it is one of the best ministries available.

I agree. the life-change I have seen in teens that were completely disinterested in Jesus has been absolutely amazing. I love to see someone experience the joy and freedom of full life. What a blessing!
