fostering a grateful spirit

10 months {day 10}

today, I am grateful for this (^) guy, and for the happiest day of my life ten months ago (10 months!?!) I am honored and blessed to have a husband who is my best friend (in the whole wide world), an who knows the worst parts of me, loves me anyway, and forgives me when those ugly parts show up. I am also thankful, though we fail (probably daily), for a marriage in which we are constantly learning to love each other better, fight more fairly, and learning to ask for and give forgiveness quickly.
I love the picture up there. isn’t that look on his face just the most precious thing?!? it reminds me of the verse in the Bible where Jesus is talking to the rich young ruler. it says “Jesus looked at him an loved him.” in my head, this picture is what that would look like. so cool.
also, our wedding was A BLAST! as I think back on it today, I am so grateful for all the people who celebrated with is and made that day so special.
we are just so blessed.

speaking of people who made our day special, these are a few of the people we LOVED working with to make our day beautiful, super special, and worry-free:
*Robb Davidson of Robb Davidson Photography. Fun to be around. Calm and collected. Amazing photos. He will be the one we choose to share all of our photo-worthy moments with.
*Aubree Kruse of Forget Me Not Floral Design. She is sweet, honored to be a part of your day, and dang! her flowers are A-MAZING.
*Inboden’s was incredible. I know I am biased, but I think it was the best wedding food I’ve ever eaten, really reasonably priced, and they stepped in at the last minute (2.5 weeks before the wedding) and saved the day when our other catering plans fell through. They made it EASY. And it’s family owned by a very fun family.

  1. What great memories! All the work you did before hand was so worth the wonderful wedding! Ceremony was beautiful and touching (see Robb’s mother of the bride doing the “ugly cry” photo) and the reception was SO MUCH FUN! Love the pics, but my FAVORITE is the one that is your blog header. Joy, love and laughter – all in one photo!
