fostering a grateful spirit

encouragement {day 178}

today I’m grateful for two friends who encourage and challenge my faith.
the first is my sweet friend, kay, who desires to follow Jesus in every decision she makes. I’m so thankful for her friendship and for the ways she challenges me to be more like Jesus because of her kindness to and love for every person she encounters and by her focus on her relationship with God.
I am also grateful for my friend, Judy. I don’t get to see her anymore, really, which is sad, but she still has an impact on how I live my life and my faith. She walked with me through the most difficult time of my life, and helped me navigate the craziness that is faith in the midst of many trials. she laughed and cried with me, encouraged me, and pointed me repeatedly towards Jesus. today I found her blog, and I’m thankful that God continues to use her in my life, even though our paths no longer cross regularly.

who is someone that influences your faith/life regularly? I’d really love to know!

  1. Sabrina… keep finding more weird connections to you! First Sycamore, now Judy! I don’t know Judy personally, but my boyfriend goes to North Park University where Judy is the University Chaplain. She is so great, and has inspired me so much. Her sermons have challenged me in ways I never thought possible!

    To answer your question, someone who influences my faith is my best friend, Paige. We’ve travelled similar roads in our faith growing up together and now that we’re away at college we find ourselves still asking the same questions, even though we’re having different experiences. It’s nice to walk through those question with her and know that we lean on each other.
