I am beyond grateful for my best friend and an extra chance to celebrate him. he had to work, but we still made a pretty good day of it. I found a gluten free bakery near his office, so I grabbed some cupcakes and lunch and visited him at the office. after he got home we had some wine, made dinner, ate our first gluten free cake, opened presents and hung out together. it was wonderful to have a day set aside to remind sweet hubs how special he is and how glad I am to have him!

do you have any birthday traditions? I want to hear them!

  1. One of our birthday traditions is that the birthday celebrator gets to choose whatever part of the cake they want me to cut the first piece from and that piece is theirs.
Of course, it makes for some odd looking leftover cake as the birthday person will often choose the center šŸ™‚ But that’s all part of the fun!

  2. PS. Glad your celebration of Drew went well! Sounds like fun!
Again, thanks for your help the last few days -you two helped relieve some of the stress of the situation. Love you both xoxo

  3. I posted a tradition and it didn’t post šŸ˜¦

  4. Ok. I will repost it:
Our birthday tradition is that the birthday person gets to choose whatever part of the we cut first and that is their piece.
It usually is the center or one particular flower or character, which makes for some interesting shaped leftover cake but that is part of the fun šŸ™‚
