so much cuteness {day 264} (late)

my mom and dad are awesome and were willing to watch moj for us while we were out of town this weekend, even though they have 3 dogs of their own. so yesterday (because I fell asleep before writing this…oops), after drew’s procedure (not fun), we went to pick up our pup. next thing I know, moj and sweet hubs are both snoring away next to me on the couch. it was the sweetest thing.

what are YOU grateful for today?

silly {day 263} (late)

this weekend we had to drive up to Rhinelander for the sweet hub’s grandma’s funeral. it was a long and hard and exhausting weekend. but my hubby and I stopped on our way out of town to take a picture with the hodag, a Rhinelander legend. I am grateful for a hubs who makes the best of crappy situations and likes to laugh.

sweet Harlow {bonus post}

20130426-091758.jpg

yesterday was the day we’ve known would come, Harlow lost the last of her hair. how heartbreaking and hard it must have been for Jamie and Ben to have to try to explain to their five year old daughter that hair is not what makes you beautiful as she cries at her own reflection. this little lady is brave and strong, and absolutely beautiful inside and out. If you think of Harlow and her family today, please say an extra prayer for them as they all cope with the newest (and most visible) reminder of how shitty cancer is.
Love you, beautiful, brave girl!!

tonight was our last regular young life club of the year. it has become tradition for the last club of the year to be “kid-run,” meaning the leaders help prepare kids to take charge of every aspect of club. there are two things that I love about this club, and this year was no exception- 1. I love to hear my high school friends pray for their friends. it is the sweetest thing. 2. one of the seniors gives the talk, or shares the story of their journey with Jesus. I loved hearing my friend amanda tell her peers about how Jesus has walked with her this year through some pretty hard places.
