fostering a grateful spirit

"If you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams, and you will always look lovely." -Roald Dahl

a little about me…

I’m not exactly sure what this blog will turn out to be, but my goal is to post one thing per day for a year that I’m thankful for. In case you’re worried you’ve stumbled upon an overly optimistic, glass half full, the sun’s always shining blog, I guarantee you, that is not the case. I’m a normal girl, sometimes a little on the sarcastic, cynical side. I have a job that I sometimes love, and sometimes it’s difficult to find the bright side of (who doesn’t, right?!). I love to read almost anything I can get my hands on, I enjoy being outside, and I love hanging out with my husband and pup, and laughing energizes my spirit. I am slightly addicted to Pinterest and will probably end up sharing some of my successes and failures with projects and recipes. I call my husband “the hubs” or “hubsand” and dog is named Mojo. We also have 3 turtles, love to be silly, and are sort of homebodies. I volunteer with Young Life, a ministry I love. I have recently begun to learn a little bit about floral design, and enjoy almost anything that allows me to create beautiful things.
Thanks for joining me in my journey to be grateful for this difficult, frustrating, beautiful life.
